Dr. Amit Khanna (DMD, DDS)
Dr. Amit Khanna was born in Wilmington, DE and takes pride in helping patients achieve their ideal smiles. After attending one of the few Ivy League dental schools in the nation, he keeps up with the latest dental techniques and procedures through monthly Continuing Education classes. He is involved in the community, he volunteers with Mission of Mercy, does food drives for the local food band in Southern Maryland, and does drives for the Pregnancy CareNet in Southern Maryland. Dr. Khanna won the 2016 Beacon Award through the St. Mary’s Chamber of Commerce. Dr. Khanna was written up in a national dental magazine Dental Economics. Education Georgetown University (B.S.) Dr. Randeep Sidhu (DDS)
Dr. Sidhu grew up in Montgomery County, MD. After finishing High School, he left Maryland for California where he became interested in Dentistry and worked as a dental assistant while getting his Bachelor’s degree. He returned to Maryland and worked in research at the National Institute of Health. However, the deep interest in dentistry pressed him to change careers from research to pursue Dental School. After graduating from Dental School, he elected to pursue a General Practice Residency at the University of Rochester Medical Centre. This residency allowed him to gain valuable experience in treating patients with varied health issues and to expand his surgical skills. He continues to expand his dental knowledge by pursuing continuing education courses and attending local dental society meetings.
Dr. Sidhu takes pride in being a transparent practitioner and welcomes patient input when formulating treatment plans. He appreciates that dentistry cannot be practiced with a broad brush and seeks to tailor treatment to each patient’s needs.
In his free time, he enjoys going for bike rides, hiking and taking road trips with his wife. Travelling that allows him to immerse himself into different cultures particularly interests him. His favorite destination thus far has been Japan.

Dr. Abubakr Shafi (DDS)
Dr. Abubakr Shafi is a practicing full time general dentist at Patuxent Dental. After receiving his undergrad degree at UMBC in Maryland, he completed his dental education at Howard University in DC. He went on to complete general practice residency at Saint Francis Hospital in Hartford, CT where he received the award for the best dentist in the program for Comprehensive Dentistry.
Dr. Shafi strives to provide excellent dental care by listening to his patients' needs, educating them, and developing a personalized treatment plan that will allow them to have a healthy beautiful smile.
During his free time he enjoys taking part in outdoor activities, traveling, BBQing, and spending time with his wife.
Dr. Christopher Haviland (DDS)
Dr. Christopher Haviland is a practicing full time general dentist at Patuxent Dental. After receiving his undergrad degree at Salisbury University, he completed his dental education at Howard University in DC. He went on to complete general practice residency at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in DC.
Dr. Haviland enjoys working with patients to make them feel as comfortable and confident in their smiles as possible.
During his free time, he enjoys playing volleyball, traveling, and going to baseball games.

Brittany Corrigan Office Manager
Hi! My name is Brittany, and I absolutely love my job here at Patuxent Dental. I love interacting with patients and I’m always ready to make you laugh with a bad joke. In my free time, I like dancing, board games, and playing Dungeons and Dragons. See you at the office!
Amy Finance Manager
Amy started her dental career in 2000 as a Registered Dental Assistant after graduating from Palomar Community College's dental assisting program. She worked as a chair side assistant for 10 years, adding an Expanded Functions Dental Assisting (EFDA) license in 2006 after graduating from Harcum College's EFDA program. In 2010 Amy took her knowledge and experience from the back office and became a Treatment Coordinator in the front office. Amy joined the Patuxent Dental team in August 2015 when she moved from California to Maryland.
Kristen Registered Dental Hygienist
Kristen is one of our Registered Dental Hygienists. She was born and raised in Morgantown, West Virginia. She discovered a love of the dental field young. She received a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene from West Virginia University School of Dentistry in 2010. After graduating with honors, Kristen moved to Southern Maryland where she has been practicing dentistry since.
Kristen joined Patuxent Dental in 2014. She loves meeting new patients and making sure they have a pleasant experience. She is very passionate about her work and very efficient which ensures her patients leave happy and with a good understanding of their dental needs.
Kristen loves to work on her continuing education in her down time. She prides herself in staying up to date with the newest advancements in dental hygiene. She currently holds extra licensure to administer local anesthesia as well as to administer and monitor nitrous oxide sedation.
Kristen is very active in the community. She is regularly participating in raising money for charities and volunteering with Patuxent Dental.
Michelle Registered Dental Hygienist
My name is Michelle and I am a Registered Dental Hygienist. I began working in the dental field in 2008 as a Dental Assistant before moving into Orthodontics as a Lab Assistant. In 2014 I graduated from Allegany College of Maryland with an Associate of Applied Science in Dental Hygiene. I grew up in St. Mary's County and enjoy being out on the water or on the beach. I like to spend my free time reading, shopping, boating, traveling, or visiting family and friends.
Amanda Registered Dental Hygienist
Hi! My name is Mande Jones. I am a Registered Dental Hygienist and couldnt't be happier to be a part of the team at Patuxent Dental. I started working in the dental field as a chairside dental assistant during my senior year of Highschool. I continued school at Baltimore City Community College, graduating and earning an Associate of Applied Science in Dental Hygiene in 2004. My goal is to always provide patients with quality care and comfort. In my spare time I enjoy painting/drawing, music, documentaries, hiking, travelling and spending time with family and friends. If I haven't met you yet I look forward to seeing you in the office soon!
Kaitlyn Registered Dental Hygienist Team Lead
Hi, my name is Kaitlyn Niemiec and I am a Registered Dental Hygienist here at Patuxent Dental. I was born and raised in St. Mary's County and absolutely love it here! In 2018 I graduated from Fortis College in Landover, MD with my Associate of Science Degree in Dental Hygiene. As a dental hygienist, I love helping patients by making sure their trip to the dental office is an enjoyable one!
Volunteering and giving back to the community is something that is very important to me. I have participated in multiple Mission of Mercy, Team Smile and Free Dental Day events.
When I'm not at the office, I enjoy spending time with my family, husband and miniature schnauzer Koda.
Sara W. Registered Dental Hygienist
Hello! My name is Sara, and I have been with Patuxent Dental since April 2019. This office welcomed me with open arms, allowing me to work my way up from sterilization technician to dental assistant, and even through dental hygiene school. My coworkers have been nothing but supportive through my journey. I look forward to meeting new people and seeing some familiar faces while helping our lovely patients achieve optimal oral health. In my spare time, I enjoy traveling to new places, napping with my cat, and playing Dungeons and Dragons with my friends. I look forward to seeing you all!
Kimberly Registered Dental Hygienist
Kim is one of our registered dental hygienists. She loves working with patients and providing efficient, and compassionate care for each patient. Kim has been in the dental field for 8 years.
Outside of the office she enjoys riding her horses, playing with her dogs, & being on the water.
Sara F. Registered Dental Hygienist
Hi! My name is Sara, and I am a hygienist here at Patuxent Dental. I was born and raised in St. Mary’s County. I love working here and getting to know each patient I have the pleasure of meeting! It is very important to me to provide compassionate individualized care to each of my patients, and make them feel at ease for each and every visit. I developed a passion for the dental field at a young age, and attended the James A. Forrest Career and Technology Center where I was part of the Dental Assisting program during my sophomore and junior years in high school. I always knew my career goal was to become a hygienist, so I then attended Allegany College of Maryland earning my Associates of Applied Science in Dental Hygiene. I was proud to accept the Colgate STAR award and graduated with highest honors. Soon after beginning my dental hygiene career, I then began taking online college courses through Southern New Hampshire University, where I earned my Bachelors degree in Health Sciences. I am proud to say I graduated with highest honors again! Continuing my education to advance my career and better serve my patients is very important to me. In my free time I love spending time with family and friends. I also enjoy spending time with my Boyfriend, being on the water, camping, and doing anything that involves my fur baby River, a spunky Corgi. I also volunteer with the Ridge Volunteer Rescue Squad, where I help people experiencing medical emergencies within the community. I look forward to meeting you soon!
Kelley Registered Dental Hygienist
Hi! My name is Kelley and I am a Registered Dental Hygienist. I discovered my love for the dental field in elementary school and knew right away I wanted to be in the field! I completed the dental assisting program at the James A. Forrest Career and Technology Center in 2018 and started hygiene school right after. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene from West Liberty University in May of 2022. I also currently hold extra licensure to be able to administer local anesthesia. As a hygienist, I enjoy being able to create new relationships with patients everyday and provide quality care based on specific patient needs. Outside of work, I volunteer with a local animal rescue and love spending time with friends, family, and my pets!

Crystal Dental Assistant Team Leader
Hey y’all! I’m Crystal, I’m the lead dental assistant here at Patuxent Dental. I’ve been a dental assistant since 2014. I became an expanded functions dental assistant in 2019. I absolutely love seeing my patients smile and making them laugh while also feeling comfortable in the dental chair. I am a born and raised Maryland girl, and plan on staying here for a very long time! I love spending time with my family and watching my kids play sports. My husband and I have been married since 2021, we have two very busy kids. I hope to see y’all soon!

As a local country girl, born and raised, I find joy in creating a comfortable environment for patients and contributing to their dental well-being. Outside the office, I cherish moments with family and friends. Whether cruising on the boat with my soon-to-be husband and stepdaughter, hitting the open road on our motorcycle, or camping with my sister and brother-in-law, I thrive on creating lasting memories.
